501'er - Generic Race Class for Any Setting

501'er
The 501st had a simple job, take back a small French village from the Axis, they never made it. A strange storm came up as they marched under the cover of night. Winds like none had ever seen, lightening in all the strangest colors, soon the world itself seemed to shake to the thunder and in a moment it was all gone, the storm, the trees ... France.

Now displaced from their own time and home the members of the soldiers of the 501st do their best to find their way home and to survive a world of magic, monsters and oddities they never expected.

501'er Abilities

Courage - 501'ers get a +2 bonus to all saves against fear effects and spells.

Demolitions - Members of the 501st are well skilled in the creation and use of small-scale ordnance.  A 501'er can create and put a small explosive to use in 2 rounds.

To create the explosive the 501'er           needs to have sulfur, charcoal and           saltpeter. This explosive can be thrown                 up to 60' and has a 4-6 chance of               exploding dealing 1d4 damage to a 10'   circle around it.

Firearms - 501'ers can use firearms that were carried over with them when they were displaced.  These weapons, strangely will only work in the hands of a 501'er. All firearms have a range of 60' and deal 1d6+2 damage.

  1. Definitely need to play one of these sometime soon. Out of curiosity, would the 'name level' title be "Sarge"?

    1. +Daniel Luce, I typicially ignore the name levels aspect of the older versions of "The System" but for sake of argument:

      1st Level - Private
      3rd Level - Corporal
      5th Level - Sargeant (Sarge)
      10th+ Level - Sargeant Major

Actually this makes me wonder, why did the name levels exist 'back in the day'? I shall have to research that.

    2. Because originally you didn't need a 'level' for your troop 'class', you only required a name.
