X'Torth

"Once, when I was young, I was on a night hunt. Eager for fox, I broke from my kinsmen and hurried forward. Then, the stars vanished from the sky one by one, and a horrible wind blew through the clearing ... I don't know what happened but when I awoke all but I in that clearing where dead."

Special: Domination, Magic Resistance 75%, Sonic Screech,
Alignment: Chaos
Challenge Level/XP:  6/400

Domination - Targets a single creature who must make a Saving Throw with a -4 penalty. If failed the target is under the control of the X'Torth until target can make the save.

Sonic Screech - The X'Torth lets out a super-sonic screech that affects all targets in a 120 by 30 foot cone in front it dealing 2d6 damage to all caught in the cone. Successful save deals only half damage.


X'Torth are large bat-like fiends from the Outside. They appear as large bat-like creatures with scorpion tails. Like all fiends of the Outside the X'Torth seek to conquer Eira and make it their own.

Magic Item - Arcane Gauntlet

Arcane Gauntlets are small devices of leather and copper fitted to the wearer's primary hand and feature a small, thin gem imbued with pure arcane energies affixed to the palm. As a standard action the wearer of an Arcane Gauntlet may release its energies up to four times in a single encounter safely, and up to eight times if the wearer is willing to endure the burning residual heat from sustained use of the device.  If an Arcane Gauntlet is used to its maximum effect (eight times) it is inoperable until such a time as its wearer takes a long rest.
Arcane Gauntlet- Rare Magical Item - Requires Atunement - Ranged Magical Weapon - Range 60/120ft - One Target, Hit 6 (1d6 + 2) Arcane Damage - Special After 4 uses the Gauntlet inflicts 2 Arcane damage on its wearer during every use in an encounter, on the 8th such use the wearer incurs 1d6 damage from the gauntlet's use.
